Before my solo exhibition in Garter Lane was taken down, it felt right to host a closing event to pay tribute to Anne Tottenham of Loftus Hall and cleanse the space of any bad juju that happened to be left over by my chosen subject matter.

Following the oral storytelling tradition, our evening began with my Dad John sharing the ghost story of Loftus Hall that he told to me as a girl, just as my Granddad Eddie had told it to him before that.

As a group, we shared personal experiences with the infamous building, backlit by a film shot inside the Hall in 2006 by my friend, screenwriter Sam Jacob.
We hosted a card-making workshop where participants created cards with imagery from their dreams. Artist Roibí O Rua then used these cards for group readings and personal tarot card readings with her own decks.

It was the perfect way to close this exhibition. Thank to you all who came to share their dreams, nightmares, artwork and folktales with us all.
To borrow a quote from the tombstone of Fr Thomas Broaders:
We did good and prayed for all, and banished the Devil from Loftus Hall.
